Duties + Requirements

Safety Supervisor Requirements Skills Knowledge Standard construction activities likely to be carried out on site (earthworks, steel fixing, concreting, lifting, etc.) First aid Hygiene requirement on site Fire fighting Notions about environmental management will be appreciated Capacities Report to quality, health, safety and environment engineer Identifies potential hazards on a construction job site and communicates with the staff involved in order to eliminate the danger Performs periodic safety inspection on site or other company premised and prepare corresponding report in English Stop the work when the health or safety of worker or other parties is jeopardized and report at once to QHSE Engineer and site management Train individual or team on site (worker and supervisor) about scaffolding erection techniques, personal hygiene, work at height, use of harness, use of specific PPE’s for special work (hot work, use of portable equipment, etc.) precaution to be taken while using chemical, etc.) Read and understand health, safety and environment management procedure, plan and method statement and check their implementation Prepare safety report in English about potential hazards, accidents or incidents detected on site (means using a computer with Microsoft office, using a digital camera) Organize and perform tool box meeting (small training and information session on site) and prepare appropriate information program Perform induction for new comer (information session) Coordinate with the nurse on site for worker health follow-up and accident investigation Report to QHSE Engineer for any additional resource needed (safety tools, equipment, etc.) Check and make sure maintenance is done for fire prevention system (fire extinguishers mainly) and scaffolding during regular or special inspection and issue corresponding record Organize and maintain safety/environment communication tool on site ( posters, board, etc.) Check implementation of driving authorization and work permit system on site Order and issue personal protective equipment to the personnel and manage a stock of safety equipment. Check quality and condition of PPE’s issued by safety team Requirements Degree in Safety/First aid diploma is appreciated or related field Minimum 5 years experiences with Construction Company Good in spoken and written English Age (30 and above) Can work under pressure Work commitment, honest, work smart
