Description
Ponleur Kumar (PK) was formerly localized from Stifung Kinderdorf Pestalozzi (SKIP) Foundation since 2003. PK is a non-political, non-partisan, non-religious, and non-profit and grassroots organization committed to working partnership with vulnerable families/individual, communities to identify and address the root causes of vulnerabilities and poverty; and strengthening organizational and institutional capacities in the northwestern border provinces of Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey and Oddor Meanchey in Cambodia, funding supports of DCA/CA, EU, USAID, Plan International, ICS, World Fish and Oxfam American, BRDC  project by Oxfam Novib and currently we just continue partnership with PIN (People In Need) with project (BDRC) Building Disaster Resilient Communities.
The project is aims to empower women and men from ID-Poor/vulnerable families to reduce vulnerability to food insecurity, climate change and disaster risk reduction.

As PK will work as partnership with PIN, PK is seeking to the qualified candidates the position as Empowerment Facilitator based in Pursat province.
Contract period: 10 months
Empowerment Facilitator (1 position) Salary: US$ 300 per month plus other benefits.

Duties + Requirements
Empowerment Facilitator

Duties
  • Develop plans of actions and propose budget in detail (weekly, monthly and quarterly)
  • Write monthly & quarterly progress reports.
  • Participate in developing the field manual of the project for guidelines in implementation
  • Implement and monitor activities on a day to day basis.
  • Ensure timely completion of all project activities within work plans,
  • Complete the appropriate documentation necessary.
  • Provide technical support to relevance local leaders related to project implementation
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or related discipline majoring in agronomy Agriculture, Rural Development and Social sciences
  • Cambodia of both male and female national, age between 25 and 45 years old.
  • Demonstrate practical experience in Disaster Resilience and Climate change, home gardening, rice production, and chicken feeding.
  • At least 2 years of work experience with NGOs as well as the government sector in development work, especially in rural development work and people empowerment.
  • Sensitive to local culture and poor people , and commit to their development work
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively in target villages by motorbike and stay overnights in target village.
  • Work well in a team environment and under pressure and be flexible.
  • A highly self-motivated, committed and honest individual; good communication and facilitation skills
  • Computer literacy (Ms. Word & Excel )
  • Good spoken and written English if possible.
  • Good communication and reporting skills
